At Schmidt Motos, we don’t just build and repair motorcycles—we build dreams, turn wrenches, and occasionally make HR departments everywhere cringe with our workplace PDA (yeah, we grab each other’s asses when the other isn’t looking—deal with it).
Our story? It started like all great modern romances—with a Facebook friend request. Bryce Schmidt and Denise Baker had no mutual friends, no connections, and absolutely no clue that fate had just matched up two grease-covered, high-octane souls. Turns out, they weren’t just soulmates; they were destined to take on the world of motorcycle performance, machining, and business—together. Denise packed up and moved to Kansas in December 2020 to start a new chapter with Bryce, and ever since, they’ve been grinding (literally and figuratively) to build something incredible.

Some couples do date nights. Bryce and Denise rebuild engines, fine-tune machines, and solve problems most people would walk away from. Whether it’s machining high-end Harley-Davidson parts, fabricating custom builds, or just keeping their own equipment from imploding, they tackle everything together. If it can be built, fixed, or improved, they’re on it—usually with a mix of precision, swearing, and a lot of sarcastic banter.
Bryce isn’t just a master machinist and engine wizard—he’s a mentor. His patience extends beyond teaching some newbie shop apprentice (AKA Denise) how to hold a micrometer; he’s handing down everything he knows because he sees her potential. Denise? She didn’t even realize what she was capable of until Bryce threw her into the deep end of machining. She may screw up a few times, but she learns fast—and when she gets it right, she owns it.
